In this course, you will practice different forms of speaking such as persuasive, group debating, dramatic speaking, and conference speaking which may involve attending a Model United Nations event. You will learn how to argue with decorum and conviction along with analyzing and synthesizing existing research, and recognizing bias and fallacies.
For the Grade 11 students it is the ONLY English 11 course you are required to take this year in order to meet the Ministry’s graduation requirements. For the Grade 12 students this is an academic option for you, you will still need to complete the English Studies 12 course or English First Peoples 12.
