This course is considered to be Oak Bay’s Junior Musical Theatre class. Grade 9 students in this class will prepare and present a full length ‘Junior Musical’ at the end of the year. Recent productions include ‘Beauty and the Beast Junior’ and ‘Willie Wonks Junior’. This course includes:
- Introduction to Musical Theatre
- Stage vocabulary and techniques
- Vocal development for chorus and soloist
- Character development through performance
- Team building through games and performance
