Quick Tips for Choosing the Right Math Course in Grade 11

Credits: 4

* A final grade of 60% or higher in Foundations and Pre-calculus Mathematics 10 is strongly recommended. Students with less than 60% should consult with their teacher before choosing this course. This course is of similar rigor as Foundations 11.

Information : This course is recommended for students who are planning on pursuing post-secondary studies in Math, Sciences, Engineering or Commerce. Topics covered will include Radicals, Quadratic Functions and Equations, Trigonometry, Sequences and Series, Linear and Quadratic Inequalities and Financial Math. Students who successfully master the learning outcomes of this course may continue on to Pre-calculus 12 or Foundations 12 or both, as well as Calculus 12. This course satisfies the Ministry of Education’s mathematics graduation requirements.
