Prerequisite:  Enrollment in the International Program or ESL designation in grade 9 or 10.

The target audience for this course is students new to Canada.  It is designed to fill in the gaps of cultural understanding, Canadian history and geographical awareness. The focus of this course is to improve literacy through the exploration of Canadian based content, in order to give the students the necessary background to more easily participate in and understand the regular Social Studies and English curriculum.
