This class will compromise wind players and percussionists who wish to be part of a full orchestra. The ensemble is open to any student who plays a wind instrument. The Oak Bay Orchestra takes place Tuesdays at lunch and Thursday mornings. Students will continue the acquisition of performance skills in the woodwind, brass, and percussion.

Elements of music including sight-reading, terminology, rhythm, melody, dynamics, articulations, phrasing, posture, intonation, balance and blend.

Music history and symphonic as well as pop literature will be explored.

Small ensemble and solo opportunities are available

Students enrolled in Strings 9-12 will join this ensemble for concerts and performances.
