Introductory Woodwork 11 – Students who have not previously taken woodworking at the secondary level will be following an introductory woodwork course. Introductory woodwork students will be assigned 3 main projects: The first will be a skill-building project to allow students to become familiar with the woodshop and its tools. The second project will have the students building a small table. For the remaining part of the course, students will be able to focus in areas of personal interest such as turning bowls on the lathe, wood carving, furniture making, or creating wood art. Optional projects may include projects such as custom skateboards, baseball bats, chess boards, wood pens, etc. Most projects will allow for students to modify the project design.
