Computer Studies 10 is a survey course intended for students who want to explore a variety of software packages. This is a technical course for people interested in creating websites, graphic design, computer programming, game design, and robotics. While open to everyone, students should have some computer experience (typing, office, email, surfing the web). Students will learn:

Intro to programming – learn the fundamentals of a high-end programming language such as Python or JavaScript

Game/App design – learn how to apply your programming skills using a real-world development environment

Web design – how to build a site in HTML & CSS

Robotics – the fundamentals of programming and design thinking with Lego Mindstorms

Computer graphics – create images for print and the web with Photoshop
