Prerequisites: Successful completion of Pre-Calculus 11 or Foundations of Math 11 is strongly recommended.

Information: This course is recommended for any student interested in postsecondary education and for students who want to understand how statistics shape our daily lives.
Statistics 12: This is a course approved by the BC ministry of education and it serves to prepare students for university level analysis, whether they choose to pursue arts or science. It will cover topics like visual representations of statistics, statistical distributions, sampling, measuring central tendency, and inference. It will inform students about the ways in which statistics can be used to inform and misinform the viewer. Students will learn to think critically, collaborate with others and communicate effectively using appropriate statistics and technology to present data. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to thrive in university level statistics courses and statistical applications within other courses.
