It is recommended that students have mastered the physics-related learning outcomes from Science 10 prior to Physics 11.

The behaviour of mechanical systems will be described and analyzed mathematically, with an emphasis on lab work and developing problem-solving skills.  The Big Ideas covered will include:

• Forces influence the motion of an object.
• Energy is found in different forms, is conserved, and has the ability to do work
• Mechanical waves transfer energy but not matter
